Palazzo Boglietti is a modern building in Biella with a futuristic architectural structure.
Its planning began in the early nineties but completion took place at the beginning of the 2000s. Since 2006 it has been fully functional and used as a cultural center of the "Obiettivo Domani" association. As such it is used as a venue for exhibitions, conferences and conventions.
The surface on which the building is located was not previously used and was made available by the owner, the entrepreneur Giovanni Boglietti, who spent his childhood here and who wanted to entrust the architect Alberto Rizzi with the task of designing a building that was inspired by the natural world, closely recalling the structure of an oak tree from whose trunk fungi with a classic disc shape emerge. All with a massive use of a natural material such as living stone.
The building is spread over 1,500 square meters distributed over three floors and a basement, with a full-ground space used as an espace capable of changing its form of use according to exhibition needs and a viewing terrace from which you can enjoy the panorama towards the Biella pre-Alps.
The building - completed by a series of services such as restaurant, bookshop, internet café - is located in a decentralized position with respect to the city center as it is located near the roundabout that connects Viale Macallè with Via Fratelli Rosselli.
On a strictly architectural level, of particular interest is the stairwell designed as an inverted triangular pyramid and differently oriented with respect to the organizing axes of the system.
If I were a photographer I would like to set up a photographic exhibition in a building like this!!! I don't know what they do inside, but kudos to whoever built and designed it! The shapes that compose it amaze for the courage they had!! It seems to see a gigantic insect, with large watchful eyes. In Turin they wouldn't have done it, the contemporary Turin people were too courageous!!
Beautiful and particular location in Biella.
A trendy building, with particular architectural solutions, suitable for parties, conventions and conferences
Highly recommended.
A little cold as usual....but nice and lovely staff
Excellent example of urban building recovery which has become a meeting point and exhibition venue for conferences, exhibitions and social gatherings.
Particular in its architecture. Unfortunately the maintenance was not taken care of. Perfect for hosting events!
We celebrated my son's first birthday and my daughter's communion. Everything was perfect. Excellent food and plenty of raw materials, undoubtedly of excellent quality. Perfect service. The guests had a great time. We will certainly be back and I recommend it if people like me like food. classic.
Stunning building, fascinating and full of originality. If you don't visit it, you can't understand how particular and beautiful it is even inside. It also has a beautiful terrace from which you can enjoy a fantastic view, where you can organize parties, certainly of great effect.
The 4 flour pizza is absolutely worth trying. Beautiful. The chef offers excellent fish and meat dishes. Great service and good choice of wines. Local beer, always the best. Attention for vegans and people allergic to certain foods.
I don't know who wrote these reviews....I was at a (company) dinner and we ate really, really badly! Wine for the celebration of unity, not to mention the cover charge.... put in a large room without everything, painfully set table, chairs of all qualities that you don't even see the likes of in a campsite!
